The *ILL* and *ESRF* are organizing a workshop on the combine use of SANS, SAXS and complementary techniques. _There is still time to register and submit an abstract!_ * Dates: 16 & 17 December 2025 * Venue: ILL, EPN campus, Grenoble, France * Abstract submission deadline: November 30th * Registration deadline: December 3rd (registration is mandatory for site access) * Website: https://workshops.ill.fr/e/stereoXN Workshop topic: Understanding the microstructure of complex fluids across multiple scales is essential for building predictive models. While Small Angle Scattering provides invaluable data, fitting individual scattering profiles that have often few features may yields numerical outputs rather than deep physical insights. A *paradigm shift* occurs when integrating *complementary techniques*: By combining SAXS, SANS, static and dynamic light scattering (SLS/DLS) with Molecular Dynamics or random Gaussian wavelets simulations, researchers can achieve robust, quantitative analyses. This symposium will explore *advanced methodologies that bridge scattering techniques with thermodynamic considerations*, enabling the development of practical modeling strategies. We will highlight breakthroughs in critical applications, from innovative recycling separation processes to the design of biomimetic colloids with antiviral potential. Special session dedicated to Thomas Zemb’s scientific achievements The workshop will also include a special session to honor the career and contributions of Thomas Zemb, a pioneer in the field of colloids and their application in recycling and green processes, as he is moving to an emeritus status. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dr Sylvain PRÉVOST [email protected] <https://www.ill.eu/d11> instrument responsibleInstitut Max von Laue - Paul Langevin (ILL)71, avenue des Martyrs - CS 2015638042 Grenoble cedex 9 - FranceOffice: +33 (0)4 76 20 79 43Mobile: +33 (0)7 82 18 97 73 ORCID: 0000-0002-6008-1987 <https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6008-1987> - ResearcherID: A-8740-2012 <http://www.researcherid.com/rid/A-8740-2012> - ResearchGate: link <http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Sylvain_Prevost> - Google Scholar: link <https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=MgP5SBAAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate> Always include the relevant experiment number in all communication. When publishing ILL data, cite the DOI of your experiment: DOI: 10.5291/ILL-DATA.[proposalNumber] <https://www.ill.eu/users/user-guide/after-your-experiment/data-management/>Guidelines for proposals are available here <https://www.ill.eu/for-ill-users/applying-for-beamtime/standard-access/step-by-step-standard-proposal-submission-guide/proposal-writing-hints>. _______________________________________________sa_scat mailing [email protected]https://mailman.iucr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sa_scat
