These pages collect together notices posted on the IUCr web site in past years. They are retained for archival interest, but there is no guarantee (or likelihood) that many of the web links found in these notices will still be active.
First Russian Crystallographic Conference
The First Russian Crystallography Congress was held recently in Moscow. Its purpose was to unite Russian scientists and researchers around crystallography as a methodology in 21st century research. Just under 2200 participants attended the meeting, half being young scientists. The meeting presented an interdisciplinary approach to many branches of science, ranging from solid-state chemistry and physics to soft matter and biological materials, including the investigation of brain functions.
