2017 IUCr impact factor results
The 2017 impact factors have been released by Clarivate Analytics. We are pleased to announce that all IUCr Journals have increased their impact factors and that IUCr Journals now occupy the top four positions in the Crystallography category.
- IUCrJ - saw its impact factor increase from 5.8 to 6.5
- Acta Crystallographica Section A: Foundations and Advances - the impact factor increased from 5.7 to 7.9
- Acta Crystallographica Section B: Structural Science, Crystal Engineering and Materials - the impact factor increased from 2.0 to 6.5
- Acta Crystallographica Section C: Structural Chemistry - the impact factor increased from 4.1 to 8.7
The impact factors of other journals also increased:
- Acta Crystallographica Section D: Structural Biology from 2.1 to 3.1
- Acta Crystallographica Section F: Structural Biology Communications from 0.8 to 1.0
- Journal of Applied Crystallography from 2.6 to 3.4
- Journal of Synchrotron Radiation from 3.0 to 3.2
The Editor-in-chief of IUCr Journals, Professor Samar Hasnain commented:
"Each of our journals have made a significant improvement in the latest impact factor results. We thank our authors, reviewers, editors and co-editors for their commitment to ensuring that the best of structural science and underpinning technology and methods is reported in IUCr Journals. This is the first time that four of our journals concurrently have an impact factor above 6, and we look forward to building on this success."
Peter Strickland, Executive Managing Editor of IUCr Journals, noted:
"This is first time, since I started working for the IUCr some 30 years ago, that I can remember all of the journals increasing their impact factors in the same year."
