Dear All There are basically two possibilities: 1) Public access is for the data that were already deposited in PDB.In that case we know more from PDB deposit. There is no way for us and for PDB as well to verify all information that is in deposit. Some information can be corrected only by structure re-determination after data re-processing. There is no way to verify crystallization condition and details of protein production. 2) Public access to data that were not deposited to PDB. This would be great for community to have an access to data that did not produce structure. However, many people sit on the data that are 10 years old. I am not sure whether we can force anybody to publish such a data. Again data organization is the most difficult task not the data storage. Please remember that PDB is our 'crown diamond' and protecting it from 'bad apples' is crystallographic community most important task. Best regards Wladek On 2/8/2016 2:04 AM, Andreas Förster
