Chair of Commission on International Tables [posted 23 Sep 2010]  Professor C. P. Brock has been appointed Chair of the Commission on International Tables.
IUCr chooses ChemAxon "Name to Structure" technology [posted 20 Sep 2010]  The International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) has signed an agreement with ChemAxon Ltd to use their "Name to Structure" and "Marvin" software to help ensure the quality of the IUPAC nomenclature in articles published in IUCr Journals.
Introducing the PDBe Wizard - finding "stuff" on the PDBe website [posted 07 Aug 2010]  As part of the recent Midsummer Make-over of the Protein Data Bank in Europe website (PDBe; http://pdbe.org/), we introduced a new Wizard tool. The purpose of the Wizard is to help novice users find "stuff" on the site.

Ninth Ewald Prize - call for nominations [posted 07 Jan 2010]  The International Union of Crystallography is pleased to invite nominations for the Ewald Prize for outstanding contributions to the science of crystallography. The ninth Prize will be presented at the Madrid Congress in August 2011.
