It's Good to Talk

Following the recent IUCr Congress in Madrid, a number of discussion forums have been established at a new web site,  forums.iucr.org Their primary purpose is to facilitate communication within IUCr Commissions, committees and working groups. They are not intended to compete directly against open community forums such as xForum (although we are open to the idea of hosting forums, upon request from members of the crystallographic community, on topics that are particularly relevant to the operations or interests of the IUCr). Some of the IUCr forums will be open for public browsing or comment, particularly where Commissions wish to work directly with their communities or with the wider public. Anyone is free to register as a user of this resource, although access to certain individual forums will be restricted to members of the relevant Commissions or other working bodies of the Union.

Commissions are also reminded that the IUCr operates email listserver software, if they prefer to carry out some or all of their communications solely through email. These email discussiosn are archived privately, but the archives can also be made public at http://www.iucr.org/resources/lists.
