Possible crystal growth research topics include the following:
- crystallization under non-ambient conditions
- crystal growth resulting from solid-state transformations
- growth of non-biological crystals in biological tissues
- crystal growth in relation to earth and planetary sciences
- biomineralization
- control of polymorphism, crystal shape, and crystal size and the effects thereof
- crystal growth in nanoconfinement and in materials science
- characterization of defects and their significance for structural and physical properties
- crystal growth and polytypism
- directional crystal growth.
To ensure relevant expertise on the Editorial Board, two new Co-editors have been appointed: Tatyana Bekker (Institute of Geology and Mineralogy, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation) and Karah Knope (Department of Chemistry, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA).
For more information, see the Editorial in the August 2021 issue and the Notes for Authors.Articles describing the crystallization of biological macromolecules should still be submitted to Acta Cryst. D and Acta Cryst. F.
