LAAAMP call for 2025 FAST Team applications
The International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) and Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) will award Faculty-Student (FAST) Team grants to enhance advanced light source (AdLS) and crystallography sciences in eight targeted regions of the world: Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East and the Pacific. The successful applicants will spend two months during 2025 at LAAAMP’s AdLS Collaborative Partners to acquire expertise in accelerator technology or AdLS beamline techniques, including those involving crystallography.

The LAAAMP (Light sources for Africa, the Americas, Asia, Middle East and Pacific) project is an international initiative to broaden and democratise the use of synchrotron radiation around the world. This IUPAP–IUCr–ICTP joint programme was started in 2016 through a grant awarded by the ISC. More details can be found on the LAAAMP website.
