Crystallography in Africa

Success Stories

Our outreach efforts, rooted in the vision of the International Year of Crystallography 2014, continue to inspire and shape the global scientific community.

Building Capacity Through Collaboration

The establishment of the African Crystallographic Association (AfCA) means this independent body now leads initiatives across Africa, ensuring the growth of crystallography in the region. While IUCr no longer directly supports these activities, AfCA stands as a testament to the success of collaborative capacity-building efforts.
