ICSTI FORUM BECOMES ALL ELECTRONIC

We are pleased to announce the first all electronic ICSTI FORUM, the
quarterly newsletter of the International Council for Scientific and
Technical Information. Previously published in both paper and electronic
forms, FORUM will now be published only in an electronic form on the World
Wide Web.

To access FORUM, visit the ICSTI Welcome Page at:

http://www.icsti.nrc.ca/icsti

and click on FORUM. You will access the index which guides you to your
selection.

FORUM n° 27, March 1998, has just been published and can be reached
directly from the Welcome page. It addresses the use of the Internet and
the Web by sharing the guidelines and philosophy applied by some
organizations in developing their Web offerings. Hence the following
contents:

- Premises for developing World Wide Web Strategies, by Kurt Molholm,
Defense Technical Information Center, USA

- Building information spheres, by Hal Warren, American Psychological
Association

- Setting organizational Web policies - the U.S. Department of Defense
(DoD), by Capt. Jim Knotts, DoD Web Site Project Manager

- World Wide Web Development Guideline Sources on the Internet, a list of
Web sites (with hyperlinks) compiled by Kurt Molholm.

In addition this issue contains an article on the newly established Centre
for Information Society Development in Africa (CISDA), by Ben Fouché.

We hope you enjoy the new FORUM. It saves ICSTI money and offers greater
flexibility to authors.
