We are pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for SXNS16, the 16th International Conference on Surface X-ray and Neutron Scattering, co-organized by the European Spallation Source and MAX IV Laboratory with the support of the Lund Institute of Advanced Neutron and X-ray Science.

https://www.sxns16.org/

The conference, which was delayed due to the pandemic, will now take place 11th - 14th January 2022 in Lund, Sweden.

The scientific programme for SXNS16 will emphasize novel techniques for surface x-ray and neutron scattering including instrumentation and source development. Topics will include in-situ and in-operando surface studies, nanostructured surfaces and interfaces, surface and interfaces in soft matter, biological interfaces, emergent interfacial materials, and dynamics of surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures.

Our plenary speakers are Robert Feidenhans'l (XFEL, Germany) and Robert Thomas (Oxford University, UK), and a full list of invited speakers is on the website.

The deadline for abstract submission is very soon on 22nd October 2021, with the registration deadline on 16th November 2021. Registration is now open<https://indico.maxiv.lu.se/event/1175/>.
New or updated abstracts are welcome, and all those that previously submitted abstracts (in 2020) will be contacted to confirm their submissions.

For further information visit the website above or e-mail: SXNS16@maxiv.lu.se<mailto:SXNS16@maxiv.lu.se>
