Dear colleagues, time to register for the Lipid Bilayers at ESS - BESS 2022 is fast approaching, abstract submission for contributed talks and posters is closing 31 March. The preliminary programme is attached. The meeting details and preliminary programme are available at: https://indico.linxs.lu.se/event/263/overview. The conference will be held at the Scandic hotel in Lund 13-15 June and we hope to see many of you there! Confirmed invited speakers: Rumy Dimova, Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam, Germany: ”Remodeling of model membranes: to bud or not to bud” Georg Pabst, Universität Graz, Austria ”Asymmetric Membranes - Structure, Dynamics and Interleaflet Coupling” Michihiro Nagao, NIST, USA ”Hierarchical dynamics of lipid bilayers measured by quasielastic scattering techniques” Gerhard Gröbner, Umeå University, Sweden ”Unravelling the molecular basis of Bcl-2 proteins  functioning at membrane level” Hanna Barriga, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden – title TBC Sebastian Himbert, McMaster University, Canada – title TBC Susan Daniel, Cornell University, USA – title TBC Samuli Ollila, University of Helsinki, Finland – title TBC On behalf of the organising committee Tommy Nylander --------------- Since 2009, when a first user meeting was held at ISIS, Oxfordshire, UK, scientists working with model membranes by using neutron and X-ray scattering and complementary methods have met to discuss emerging scientific challenges. The last two workshops were held at the ILL, Grenoble, France, in 2011 and 2019 and were called "Bilayers at the ILL - BILL". The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers working on the physico-chemical characterisation (including structure and dynamics) of lipid bilayers by both experimental and theoretical approaches. organising committee: Marie Skepö, Lund University Tommy Nylander, Lund University Hanna Wacklin-Knecht, ESS Giovanna Fragneto, ILL Åsa Grunning, Lund University https://www.linxs.se/events/2022/6/13/linxs-partner-event-lipid-bilayers-at-ess-bess-in-lund-13-15-june-2022 Professor Tommy Nylander Lund University, Physical Chemistry POBox 124, SE-221 00 Lund, SWEDEN Deliveries Naturvetarvägen 16 Visitor Naturvetarvägen 14 Homepage www.physchem.lu.se<http://www.physchem.lu.se> Phone +46462228158/+46709626099 (mobile) Fax +46462224413 LINXS - LUND INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED NEUTRON AND X-RAY SCIENCE https://www.linxs.se _______________________________________________sa_scat mailing listsa_scat@iucr.orghttp://mailman.iucr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sa_scat
