Forschungszentrum Jülich, Technical University Munich, Helmholtz Zentrum Hereon and the European Commission (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) co-finance a program GNeuS (Global Neutron Scientists) for post-doctoral researchers in neutron scattering at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching (Germany).
One of the topics in the current GNeuS call is about the optimization of experimental facilities, which include clamp and diamond anvil cells, and data collection procedures for high-pressure experiments on different instruments for neutron diffraction and spectroscopy at MLZ. Particular emphasis is given to the studies in cryostats and magnets.
Applicants should have a background in high-pressure techniques and crystallography. They should also have their own ideas about the research involving neutron scattering. Further information about the GNeuS program and application procedures is given at https://gneus.eu.
