NOBUGS 2002 Announcement and Call for papers

The fourth NOBUGS conference will be held November 4-6, 2002 at the
National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD, USA.

The NOBUGS conferences provide a unique meeting point for both developers
and users of computer techniques in scientific instrumentation,
especially as employed at large scale user facilities, e.g. synchrotron-
radiation
and neutron-scattering facilities. The conference features oral and
poster presentations related to recent developments in software,
techniques, and standards in the information technology areas relevant
to the scientific research facilities. The complete conference
proceedings will be availablke on CD-ROM.


The conference seeks to improve the user's scientific productivity by
focusing on the interaction between the experimenter and the facilities'
infrastructures, apparatus, and data.

Gaithersburg's location near Washington DC, Annapolis and Baltimore
provides easy access to tourism and entertainment opportunities for
conference attendees and their accompanying persons.
