Wanted: An energetic scientist with interest in the development of polymer-inorganic nanostructured materials to join the Air Force Research Laboratories' Nanostructured Materials research team. Current emphasis areas include 1) establishing a fundamental understanding processing-structure-property relationships of polymer-inorganic nanostructured systems through development of new in-situ scattering techniques and models and 2) characterizing the morphology of complex core-shell nanostructures and developing techniques to achieve three-dimensional control of particle arrangement on meso, micro and millimeter scales for photonic systems. Extensive facilities and expertise are available for collaborations. US citizenship or permanent resident status highly desirable.
