IUCr journals news
1 January 2014 launch for IUCrJ
IUCrJ, the IUCr’s new high-profile fully open-access journal, has got off to a flying start with scientific commentaries and research articles covering biology, chemistry, crystal engineering, materials, physics and FELs from leaders in the field in its inaugural issue. Launched in celebration of the International Year of Crystallography 2014 and overseen by expert editorial and advisory boards, the journal aims to become the natural home for reporting breakthroughs and 'full' structural science reports, rather than simply a structure or how it was determined. High-quality contributions with wide scientific appeal will be actively encouraged from chemists, biologists, physicists and material scientists, and the journal hopes to capture many of the spectacular results that are presented at IUCr Congresses and ACA, AsCA and ECA meetings.
