Crystallography Symposium at STT45

[STT45group]

A gathering of over 40 crystallographers, aspiring and experienced, was held recently in Chiang Rai in the north of Thailand as part of the 45th Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand (STT45). The full-day symposium was organised by Nongnuj Muangsins and Kuakarun Krusong (Chulalongkorn University) and Kittipong Chainok (Thammasat University), and was generously sponsored by Bruker Switzerland AG. Participants were drawn from the macromolecular and chemical crystallography communities. Along with conventional Oral and Poster Presentations, the Flash Presentation (3-minute talks/one slide) session was very popular. Siripak Jittirattanakul won the Bruker crystal award for the best Oral Presentation with the Bruker young crystallographer prizes awarded to Pakinee Srilaoong, Chana Panyanon and Siripak Jittirattanakul. Also, a very special mention must go to Purita Aroonchat, a pre-university scholar at Thammasat University, who won the book prize for the best Flash Presentation.
