Dear Jan,

There is a slow, careful and somewhat painful process in NIAC meetings and COMCIFS meetings to conform notation as much as possible while respecting the conventions of different communities.  Feel free to contribute to that effort.
  Regards,

Dear Herbert,

is there any effort to consolidate this with other users of area detectors? SAXS beamlines, electron diffraction, other non-protein beamlines etc. I can imagine, that their needs are different, but there is an overlap. So I believe, it would be nice to unify naming schemes of overlapping items.

Best regards,

Jan
