Nominations open for the 14th Ewald Prize
The International Union of Crystallography invites nominations for the 14th Ewald Prize, recognizing outstanding contributions to the science of crystallography. Named after Professor Paul P. Ewald, this prestigious award honours exceptional scientific achievements in the field.
The Prize, awarded every three years at the International Congress of Crystallography, consists of a medal, a certificate, and a financial award. The 2026 Prize will be presented at the Congress in Calgary, Canada, in August 2026.
The deadline is November 30, 2025.
Eligibility & Selection
- Open to scientists of any nationality, gender, age, or experience.
- Recognizes either an exceptionally distinguished career or a major scientific achievement.
- Special consideration is given to nominees who have not received a Nobel Prize.
- The Prize may be shared by up to three contributors to the same achievement.
- Current members of the Selection Committee and the IUCr President are ineligible.
