In 1999, 17,000 people died by falling down, 41,000 died in motor vehicle accidents, and 3,000 died by choking on their food. Whether it’s genetically modified food or not, we face the possibility of choking every time we eat, but it’s a risk we must take every day. This risk cannot be eliminated, regardless of any amount of research conducted by bioethicists or scientists.
