The ICDD software package PC-PDF-WIN for search and  utilization on the data will be augmented with other software products under development,

The title of Distinguished Fellow was awarded by the ICDD to Deane K. Smith of Penn State U. and to Jan Visser of Delft TNO, Netherlands. The Journal Powder Diffraction has completed it's tenth year of publication and maintains a supply of suitable articles for publication. The ICDD is engaged in efforts to collect and disseminate private files of industrially important materials including the DOW Chemical Co. polymer collection and the Penn State collection of clay minerals. The ICDD will begin to organize and manage the Denver X-ray Conferences beginning with the 1998 meeting and plans to publish the proceedings using CD-ROM technology. The center has established a web site with buttons pointing to other crystallographic pages. Crystallographic organizations should send mail to the ICDD (Jenkins@icdd.com or Johnson@vax1.mrl.psu.edu). The ICDD webpage is http://www.icdd.com.
