NAS Chemical Award

The US National Academy of Sciences has selected Isabella L. Karle to receive its Award in Chemical Sciences. She will receive a bronze medal and a $10,000 prize "for her development of extensive application of a method for determining essentially equal-atom crystal molecular structures by X-ray analysis, thereby profoundly affecting the practice of Chemistry".
