The 2011 Crystallographic Computing School will be held at Ovida Centro Intergeneracional, in the Campus of "El Cristo" of the University of Oviedo, in Oviedo, Spain.

Ovida is an intergenerational residential center which will give the best possible service to the Crystallographic Computing School attendees, with its incomparable facilities: comfortable rooms, TV rooms, study areas, free internet computer room, auditorium, dining room with buffet style, three gyms, and a spectacular inside pool.  In fact, the quality of service, the cuisine, and the customer satisfaction, is the main priority in Ovida. 
 

The residential centre is divided in three different floors, and each one has its own common areas. Each floor has its own study room, television and reading area, vending machines, and a laundry room with washers and dryers.

The Residence has three different type of rooms:

  • Single Rooms: single rooms of standard size. They have a twin size bed (90 cm wide) with underneath storage, large wardrobe, study desk and private bathroom.
  • Double Rooms: double rooms with two twin size beds with underneath storage, large and comfortable, with private bathroom. They have two study desks and a wardrobe for each resident.
A social and cultural centre with services such as a library, a reading and press room, TV and video rooms, a computer and internet room, workshops with specific facilities for learning activities, games rooms and large study . A sports centre whose main attraction will be a large, heated swimming pool. There also a fitness room, a cardiovascular gym and a room for sports activities, and a specific room for scheduled sports activities (aerobics, keep fit, etc). Shopping and leisure centre with café, lobby bar, newsagents, restaurant, hair salon, dry cleaner's, health and beauty centre, dental clinic, etc

OVIDA-COMIDA Services that will be offered during the school: High-quality, full-board catering in the buffet-service dining room with lovely views in an ideal setting; Room cleaning and towel change will be done twice during the School; Washing and Ironing service for personal clothing (optional); Laundry rooms with washers and dryers (coins used) for personal use on each floor. The centre has a number of underground parking spaces
