Oviedo, Spain- Crystallographic Computing School (Tuesday 16th August to Monday 22nd August 2011)

The venue is about 2.3km from the train and bus stations. You can see a map of Oviedo with some useful information about directions here

To get the venue from the bus and train stations, you have several options:

1- Taxi. It will cost about 6-10 euros. 

2- Urban bus line L2 (cost 1 €). This urban bus has several stops in the city center, very close to the train and bus stations (see google map linked above). The bus stop closest to the school venue is named Avenida Cristo- Residencia. Inside most of the buses you will find a screen where the names of the following bus stops are shown.

3- By foot. If you want to enjoy a 2.5 Km walk up the hill... Maybe not the most convenient option when you are bringing your luggage with you!! 

 

After the School, a bus will be provided to get from Oviedo to the IUCr Congress in Madrid on the morning of August 22nd.

The Asturias Aiport is located 52 Km from Oviedo

There is an hourly bus transfer service (ALSA bus company) from the Airport to Oviedo Bus Station, in Calle Pepe Cosmen. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs 7.50 Euro.
