IUCr World Directory

The paper edition of the directory has been printed and will be distributed through the National Committees soon. The database is already accessible through the network. Use gopher (address gopher.iucr.ac.uk) or WWW (address www.iucr.ac.uk) which will also access all the information that B. McMahon, Officer for Research and Development, has installed there. Brian invites you to direct comments to the Chester office (bm@iucr.ac.uk). All explanations will appear soon in Acta Crystallographica Section A and you may retrieve a postscript file by anonymous ftp at: ftp.lmcp.jussieu.fr. With regard to updating the directory, individuals will be asked to send request entry modifications to their National editors who alone have the authority and responsibility for checking the validity of the information. The next update will start in the middle of the year.
