Many a slip

Dear Bill:

I think a couple of digits got switched in the caption of "the familiar photo" on page 2 of Vol. 2, No. 4 IUCr Newsletter. The date is more likely to be 1949 than 1994. Also, on page 6 in the caption of Figure 5, Fluorescence has nothing to do with flour. Page 6 was as far as I've read at present!

There may be no flour in fluorescence, but flour is the essence of the cake pictured.
