Australian National Beamline Facility (ANBF)

The ANBF at the Photon Factory, Tsukuba, Japan has users from the CSIRO Div. of Matls. Sci. and Tech., ANSTO, the Research School of Earth Science ANU, and the U. College UNSW conducting experiments including: X-ray topography of epitaxially grown layers, magnetic materials, and ceramics; high pressure study of MgSiO3.Al2O3; and micro-fluorescence analysis of a CuAuZn alloy. Facilities available in the experimental hutch include equipment for the study of: transmission and fluorescence; fluorescence analysis; topography; counter or imaging plate detection; powder diffraction; single crystal analysis; and Weissenberg and Laue imaging plates. It is possible to mount a wide range of users' own experimental devices on the experimental table. For further information contact: Dr. J.
