Crystallization Poster Project

3α, 20β-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase. Streptomyces hydrogenans. Tetragonal bipyramids; NADH.

The quantitative characterization of crystallization results is a subjective endeavor, one person's "thin plates" looking very much like another person's "microcrystalline precipitate." In order to foster a common vocabulary, G. DeTitta and B. Cudney invite macromolecular crystal growers to participate in the preparation of a photo montage poster of crystallization results. In addition to photos of large, well-shaped crystals they invite photos of "intermediate" results, such as cloudy precipitates, microcrystalline precipitates, and oils.
