The 1993 ACA meeting will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, May 23-28. The Call for Papers was distributed in mid-Nov. 1992. The abstract deadline is Jan. 25, 1993. A Molecular Graphics Workshop will be held jointly with the Molecular Graphics Society on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 (V. Cody, A. Olson, and M. Rossi, organizers). "Time-of-Flight Diffraction at Pulsed Neutron Sources", organized by J. Jorgenson and A. Schultz, will be the ACA Transactions Symposium. Other sessions currently planned are:

Bucky Balls D.Cox
Neutron Scattering in Materials Research F. J. Rotella and J. W. Richardson
Molecular Recognition and Inclusion J. Atwood
Computational Chemistry and Drug Design D. Rohrer and D. Eggleston
Lanthanides and Actinides in Transition: Catalytic and Biological Perspectives J. Krause and S. Sommerer
The Mobility of Molecules in Crystals B. Craven and R. Bryan
Superconductors & Related Compounds B. Morosin
Zeolites and Microporous Solids M. Bennett
Ab Initio Structure Determination from Powder Diffraction B. Toby
Anomalous Scattering C. Sparks
Phase Transitions in Disordered Systems M.-L. Saboungi
William Parrish Memorial Session: Advances in Powder Diffraction R. L. Snyder and D. K. Smith
Perovskite and Related Materials W. Wong-Ng
Thin Films G. Zorn and E. Ryba
Structure-Function Relationships from Fiber Diffraction Analyses R. Chandrasekaran
Data Collection Technology S. Ealick
Making the Best Maps from Experimental Phases C. Carter and M. Teeter
Incorrect Structures: Practicing Safe Crystallography I. Wilson
Structural Biology and Signal Transduction S. Sprang
New Macromolecular Structures W. Anderson
Area Detectors for Large Molecule Crystallography E. Westbrook
Applications of Topology to Crystallography C. Johnson

There will also be special events for the Young Scientist SIG and a computer program show-and-tell session. Awards to be given at this meeting include the Patterson Award, the Pauling Award and the Etter Travel Award. The convention facilities are very good and will be extremely useful for dealing with the concurrent sessions. We plan to have the vendors' booths, a lounge area and the posters in the exhibition hall. The large space available will allow us to provide more time for the display of posters.
