Request from Vietnam

Dear Dr. Duax:

Thank you very much for the IUCr Newsletter with Colin Kennard's note about the Hanoi Crystallography School 92. It reached us in 10 days. Vietnamese crystallographers have a lot of difficulties in their teaching and research and need support from abroad. We need books, reprints, instruments (could be used ones), in the field of crystallography and material structure analysis. Short term scientific visit to foreign laboratories, scholarships for under/post graduates and grants for scientific conferences would be effective aids, too. In this connection we would be very grateful for any effort.
