The Structures of Life

The Structures of Life is a science education booklet, recently published by the National Institute of Health (NIH) geared toward an advanced high school or early college-level audience. It explains how structural biology provides insight in health and disease. It contains a general introduction to proteins, a chapter each on X-ray crystallography, NMR, and structure-based drug design. It, and other science education booklets published by the NIGMS component of NIH are available free of charge.
