Håkon Hope (1930-2018)

Håkon Hope, member of the IUCr Commission for Crystallographic Apparatus from 1978 to 1984 and Co-editor of Acta Cryst. B and C from 1984 to 1993, died peacefully at home in Davis, CA, USA, on 22 November 2018. Born in Førde, Norway, he joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at UC Davis in 1965, retiring as professor emeritus in 1993.
