The Faculty of Chemistry wishes to appoint a

Junior professor (W1) for Inorganic Structure Analysis and Molecular Interaction (Bes.Gr. W 1 NBesO)

to commence on the January, 1st, 2020. The appointment is for three years, with a possible extension for further three years.

The professor is expected to perform research and teaching in inorganic chemistry. Applicants should be recognized for excellent achievements in a modern area of Xray diffraction analysis. The position will be located within the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and suitably complement the faculty interdisciplinary focal research area of Analytical Methods on Molecular Interaction. Experience in one of the contemporary areas as photo crystallography, high- or time-resolved crystallography is requested. Participation in existing (GRK 2455) and planned research initiatives of the Faculty of Chemistry is requested. Participation in academic administration is mandatory. The University of Göttingen emphasizes research-oriented teaching.

The requirements of appointment are specified by §30 of the "Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz" (NHG) (Nds. GVBI. 2007 S. 69). In case you have been employed as a scientific employee, or scientific teaching assistant, before or after receiving the Ph.D. degree, the total time of employment and Ph.D. studies should not exceed 6 years. Further details can be found at § 26 NHG and will be clarified upon request.
